A family in Slovenia. A page with a name.
We are Luka and Mariah Dolenc. We live in Slovenia with our four children. FitFamBam is ours together. It is personal. It is not a club.
From the old site archive. A meadow near home, not a stock lake.
The short version
What FitFamBam is.
A family journal and a calling card. Movement, food, rest, and the people we live with. We want to stay capable for a long time, in a house that is already full.
We married in 2011. Mariah left California the next morning and has been here since. In 2015 we had two daughters, Olivia and Leia. We now have four children.
The name is ours. The later domain is FitFamBam.com. Until then, this static site is the whole thing.
What it is not
No memberships. No miracle week.
- Not a gym with classes and a desk at the door.
- Not a shop, and not a catalogue of products.
- Not medical advice. We are parents writing about a household, not clinicians.
- Not a transformation brand. Bodies change slowly, in private.
- Not a staff of trainers. You will not find invented names here.
How we live
A full house. A small country.
Slovenia is the right size for this. You can walk into trees from a lot of front doors. The food is close. Sunday still means something.
Mariah sees space, type, and colour before Luka does. She liked a polished gym look we once tried, and could not bend it. FitFamBam is built so she can restyle it from one file. If the accent should shift, we change a token. The pages follow.
Photographs on these pages are ours from the old archive: a meadow, a kitchen board, the two of us, a couple of beaches. Photos of the children live in the archive folder and are not used here.
The journal
Mariah wrote first. Luka writes when he can.
In 2015 Mariah kept a FitFamBam journal: garden dirt, rice-cake sandwiches, pregnancy, Ljubljana. Those posts are back, marked as archive, with her name on them. Luka did not write them.
Luka’s first new note is only this: the site is ours again, and he will add to it when there is a sentence worth keeping.
The old photo wordmark below is how the name looked then. Thin white caps on bokeh. The mark in the header is the one we use now.
